If you’re a tech or engineering employer in the Midlands or North of England, you can benefit from FREE Career Returners Recruitment and Inclusion Training, delivered by return to work experts STEM Returners and Women Returners. The training is part of STEM ReCharge, a new project funded by the Government Equality Hub. Register ASAP.

Aims of the Training
The online training programme of 3 x 1-hour modules is designed to help you create a returner-inclusive workforce. By attending the sessions you will:
- Understand the full business case for hiring returner talent and how to get wider business buy-in
- Learn about the different Return to Work Pathways that have proven to be effective, including Returnships and Supported Hiring
- Understand how to attract returners to STEM and how to de-bias your selection and assessment processes to enable returners to be successful
- Find out how to effectively structure onboarding and transition support for STEM candidates returning from a career break and how to train and support their line managers
If you cannot attend all the modules live, they will be recorded to enable you to listen at a convenient time.
Modules
1) Make the Business Case for Tech/Engineering Returners and understand Return to Work Pathways – 27 June, 12pm – 1pm
2) Create De-Biased and Supportive Recruitment Processes for returners, including flexible hiring and overcoming sector-focused recruitment challenges – 4 July, 12pm to 1pm
3) Effective On-Boarding for returners to STEM through tailored induction, manager training and a returner support team – 11 July, 12 – 1pm
Follow-On Support
Following the training, you will be invited to attend monthly drop-in sessions until mid-2024 to get ongoing expert support with recruiting and hiring returners.

The training will be delivered online. Joining instructions will be sent 48 hours before the session.
Please ensure all colleagues are registered individually. Attendance will not be permitted unless you have registered for the training in advance.
Target Audience
The event is for Tech and/or Engineering Employers in the Midlands and North of England. The training is relevant for organisations of all sizes, including start-ups and SMEs. Please do not register if you do not employ people in these sectors/regions or if you are a recruitment agency.
