Supportability Engineer (ILS)

STEM Returners have a brand new programme with defence specialists Babcock International, open to those looking to return to STEM or transfer their skills. 

As the Supportability Engineer you will ideally have experience of performing ILS analysis in a defence based industry, however, those who have previously worked in defence in an engineering/systems engineering based role will also be considered.

Education & Qualifications

  • At least qualified to HNC level in a STEM discipline (essential).
  • Degree qualified in relevant STEM discipline (desirable).
  • Member of professional institution such as IMechE/IET (desirable).

Outline of 12 week work/role:

  • Returners will perform ILS analysis and candidate item selection.
  • Failure modes and effects criticality analysis, reliability centre of maintenance, maintenance task analysis, level of repair analysis, obsolesce disposal analysis, availability modelling, failure reporting and corrective action, defect reporting and corrective action analysis.
  • Compilation of technical reports, review of design data from a supportability perspective, special analysis.
