Project Control Officer

STEM Returners have a brand new role as part of our ongoing returners placements at Babcock International.

Key responsibilities, accountabilities and competencies 

· Develop/implement and maintain the Project Baseline Budgets incl Control Account Plans/Responsibility Assignment Matrix and WBS Dictionary

· Develop and maintain Project Risk & Opportunity registers and manage the mitigation actions

· Implementation of change management process on the project and assurance of alignment with the business/contractual requirements.

· Provision of weekly and monthly performance reports and associated analysis/narrative.

· Assist in the management of sub-projects/key project issues

· Analysing, vetting and interrogating the Contract Specification to ensure a full and detailed understanding and interpretation of the Customer requirements including Project gate and phase reviews iaw the Project Life cycle

· Lead on the continuity between estimating and project delivery

· Development and maintenance of Project Assumptions/Exclusions and Dependencies logs

· Management of the project change register and associated impact assessments

· Early processing of emergent/additional work including the agreement of the technical/contractual content so that the work can be progressed ion accordance with project schedules

· Recording of lessons learned in company LFE register

· Support with close out reports

Has established a business knowledge including the activities and practices of own organisation and a working knowledge of those of suppliers, partners, competitors and clients. Has relevant experience of working in a similar business environment/sector. Has awareness of various contracting methodologies, full project lifecycle experience from bid phase to close out
