We are looking for dedicated STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) professionals who are looking to return to the workplace after a career break. Test Engineer – working in the team supporting test and diagnostics of electrical/electronic sub-systems during all phases of the product lifecycle. Providing technical support to the manufacturing test capability, to ensure Operations programme targets are met to agreed time, cost and quality requirements.
During the first 3 months, you will undertake a programme of induction and training activities, whilst working alongside an experienced colleague to hone your skills and experience and align them to the MBDA Manufacturing environment.
What we’re looking for from you:
- Ideally HND or higher level of qualification in a STEM subject (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics) plus experience in electronics or electro-mechanical manufacture or test.
- An appreciation of the engineering and configuration control processes required to support a manufacturing organisation.
- The ability to plan and organise own work in order to ensure multiple tasks can be prioritised and delivered against Project objectives.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including generation of technical documents, using Microsoft Office applications.

Due to the nature of our business, this particular vacancy requires the applicant as a minimum to be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship and capable of achieving the clearance levels mentioned above.

Dynamic (hybrid) working: We trust our people to agree, within their teams, where and when they can be most effective. Our Dynamic Working policy allows individuals flexibility around the hours they work and where they work. Typically for this role you will work 4-5 days per week on our Bolton site in line with the needs of the business.
