STEM Returners are delighted to announce a brand new programme with industry leaders Leonardo, helping candidates return or transfer into an engineering career.
What you will do
- Engage with stakeholders to define requirements for new systems
- Design and integrate new functionality into an existing sub-system in Simulink
- Collaborate with other engineers to design and prototype a detailed model of a system to understand observed simulated performance
- Design and prototype algorithms in MATLAB
- Investigate the cause of anomalies observed during integration or evaluation activities, using real trials data
What we are looking for
Experience or an understanding of some of the following:
- An understanding of systems engineering principles
- Proficiency in mathematical modelling using MATLAB or Simulink would be desirable
- Familiarity with use of SysML and MBSE modelling methodologies.
- Strong analytical ability, to support functional and performance trade-off studies.
- Understanding of design compliance and acceptance criteria relating at varying stages of system maturity.
- Ability to assume ownership for deliverables in accordance with project plans and processes.
- Knowledge of tools such as Azure, Git, Cameo Systems Modeller / MagicDraw or DOORS
