Our Opportunity
Due to expansion, we are recruiting for Systems Engineers who can undertake both front-end lifecycle System Requirements & Design tasks, and/or who is equally capable of undertaking back-end Integration, Verification and Validation activities. With the opportunity to work across multiple projects at varied stages of the lifecycle including new and existing projects this is truly a varied role.
You will report to the Systems Engineering Discipline Manager.
The key individual attributes can cover any of the following:
- An engineering degree with demonstrated engineering experience in a transferable, highly regulated sector.
Or
- An applied PhD in maths, physics or engineering
Or
- Former Royal Navy personal experienced in operating and maintaining various equipment
What the successful candidate will be involved with in this role:
- To provide technical skills for bid and/or project Engineering Reviews.
- To identify and review technical risks, opportunities and mitigation plans throughout the bid and/or project phases;
- To define and propose candidate architectures to meet customer/stakeholder needs;
- To create the technical specifications with acceptance criteria for systems and subsystems;
- To define the integration, verification, validation, qualification, certification and acceptance methods;
- Be responsible for collated results and evidence.
- To ensure, with the support of Specialty Engineering experts & Safety/HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) stakeholders:
- That candidate solutions meet regulatory requirements including all applicable standards and legislation. This includes product safety & security and Environmental/HSE requirements and standards.
