We execute projects across the current spectrum of the energy transition, be that designing a pipeline that moves our clients from coal fired electricity to gas, design and life extension of existing hydrocarbon systems, subsea equipment engineering for wind developments, through to pipeline infrastructure for carbon capture and hydrogen transmission.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience of concept design engineering through full product lifecycles
- Exposure to working in an energy or any consultancy environment would be helpful but not essential if you have strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Background in the design of pressure containing mechanical systems, from highly regulated transferrable sectors, offshore/onshore energy, oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, aeronautical, maritime.
Qualifications
BEng / MEng Mechanical Engineering Related Degree or equivalent.
What you will be getting involved with during your 12-week paid work placement
- Lead the design of systems to applicable codes and standards.
- Evaluate, organize, and prioritise your workload including overseeing Engineers, providing regular feedback to the team.
- Manage scopes to produce client deliverables, including design calculations, analysis models, specifications, study reports and presentations.
- Actively participate in training to pursue your continuing professional development and the development of Engineers.
Work Locations & Pattern
Full or Part time considered, fully flexible working arrangements, focused on output not specific hours worked. Home working with office collaborations with offices in London, Aberdeen and Glasgow.
