DORIS has embarked on a STEM Returners programme to enable those with valuable skills, experience and perspective and who are struggling with standard recruitment channels to join our team. We have opportunities across several areas of the business including:
- Engineering (Process, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Technical Safety, Geotechnical, Piping, Instrumentation, Civils, Environmental)
- Project Engineering, Project Management
- Project Controls (Planning and Cost)
These positions can be based across any of the DORIS locations in the UK: London and Great Yarmouth.
This programme is open to those who have taken any length of career break, including those with relevant technical skills who wish to transfer sectors or industries.
Our tailored 3-month returnship is designed to help build confidence, refresh your skills, and reignite your career. You will receive coaching and mentoring support throughout your journey with us. All returners will have the opportunity to gain a full-time position with DORIS after the initial 3-month returnship, making this a genuine opportunity to rekindle your career. Our partnership with STEM Returners is aimed at helping talented individuals who have taken a career break or who are looking to return to the sector.

- Educated with a relevant degree e.g. in Engineering / Project Management / Professional Support subjects.

What you can expect…
Outline of initial work/role to be undertaken during the 12 week placement:
Our aim is to welcome you into our organisation and provide an enjoyable, empowering role that directly contributes to DORIS’ success and enables a happy and fulfilling career.
During the welcome period in this role, you will receive a bespoke induction programme so you can fully familiarise yourself with our organisation including our goals and objectives. You will have the opportunity to meet with your team and understand how you will collaborate with colleagues. We will introduce you to the current projects and future projects we have in our pipeline. As well as regular 1-2-1 meetings with your line manager and regular team briefings, you will also have a dedicated member of the HR team on-hand to provide support and liaise with STEM Returners where required.
Over the 12 weeks you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that match your skills; these projects will see you collaborate with various engineering teams as well as Project Managers. At the end of the 12 weeks, our aim is that you will be offered a permanent position with us, having enjoyed a fulfilling and fully integrated placement.

These positions can be based across either of DORIS’ primary locations in the UK: London or Great Yarmouth.
Working Pattern (Site/Hybrid/Remote):
We understand the need for flexibility and have a flexible working policy. As a considerable amount of our work is client-facing, we are needed to be operational Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, but our flexible working policy enables us to adapt for different requirements. We also offer hybrid working which is project-dependent.
