Skillset and Experience
- Degree, HND, HNC, Apprenticeship or relative experience in engineering, including machine shop experience looking to progress into manufacturing or equivalent HM forces experience.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Techniques, either – machining, casting, moulding, joining methods, additive manufacturing
- Knowledge of Mechanical Design
- Understanding of Design to Manufacture
- Understanding the key principals of Lean Six Sigma
- Out-turned apprentice or Graduate in Mech Eng. or Manufacturing
- Some knowledge of material and metallurgy
- Logical thought and problem solving
- Computer literate in the writing of technical reports and presenting technical information
- Preparation of manufacturing documentation
- Influencing stakeholders
- Teamwork
- Interpersonal skills
