We’re currently looking for enthusiastic, creative Returning professionals to join our Human Factors team at our site in Warton, Lancashire.
We have great opportunities for Human Factors practitioners to work on complex, innovative and world leading projects such as Typhoon, Tempest and FCAS-AP. Join us and you will be working alongside other functions to deliver products that will be in service for 40+ years and being continually upgraded to maintain Customers Air Defence capabilities.
These exciting roles will entail involve:
- Cutting edge research into new and novel technologies
- Identifying and bringing new tools and techniques into the team, e.g. MBSE
- Developing Human Machine Interfaces
- Carrying out assessments in high fidelity facilities, whilst interacting with the end users including pilots, maintainers, trainers or support specialists
- Co-ordinating and organising technical activities and available resources (people & facilities)
- Coaching and mentoring less experienced team members
Your skills and qualifications as a Human Factors Engineer:
You will have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be enthusiastic and able to think creatively, having the courage to challenge and drive improvement. You will be a natural problem-solver, able to use your own initiative and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Essential skills/qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in human factors or related subject (e.g. psychology or user centred design)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in presenting information to a wide variety of stakeholders
- Experience in technical task management (e.g. task breakdown, scheduling, resourcing, reporting)
- Coaching and developing others
Candidates will need to be able to attain Full UK Security Clearance with no restrictions.
