We are looking for an enthusiastic RePower Program Electronic Systems Product Specialist to join our team specializing in electrification of turbo machinery for our Turbo Technologies business unit in Huddersfield, UK / Your remote home office. During your returnship with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Assist the development of cutting-edge fuel cell e-machine technology, by leading and/or supporting the validation and release of the product in alignment with the technical functional plan.
- Facilitate the mitigation of future reliability and durability product issues by leading and/or supporting FIRG (Failure Incident Reporting Group) issues using 7-Step problem solving skills.
- Help shape the future for e-machine technology by developing our e-machine sub-system portfolio strategy, as input to the e-machine roadmap
- Providing general project support for design, analysis and testing of the machine, and once familiar, an ownership of sub-projects.
- Assisting with strategic engineering work, such as researching motor design requirements and the associated roadmap for a wider e-machine portfolio and supporting power electronics and controls projects with Cummins Electronics.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related STEM degree.
- Be technically inquisitive, and good at problem solving and product failure mode avoidance.
- A natural drive for results through quality decision making.
- The ability to build networks and communicate effectively.
