Due to exciting business growth, MBDA has a range of opportunities in Modelling roles. Our models range from more simple behavioural models to high fidelity performance models, with complexity increasing through the different stages of the product lifecycle.

Data Link Modelling Engineer – working as part of a team to develop software models of the radio communication / data link system, including system level hardware, waveform and RF propagation effects. Undertaking simulations and studies using models to assess the performance of the system under test. This will involve setting up and running simulations, data analysis and visualisation, and writing up results into reports/presentations.
What we’re looking for from you:
- HND or higher level of qualification in a STEM subject (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics).
- Programming/Coding experience, we mainly use the Mathworks toolset (Matlab and Simulink), however experience of languages such as C, C++, Python or FORTRAN would provide a sufficient foundation on which to build.
- An appreciation of the engineering and configuration control processes required to support development of a complex model.
- The ability to plan and organise own work in order to ensure multiple tasks can be prioritised and delivered against Project objectives.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including generation of technical documents, using Microsoft Office applications.
